Our mission at Out of the Wilderness is to be a light in the dark places, demonstrating to people that they matter and they are loved. By consistently showing up and being present to people, and their challenges, we have found this is often what helps draw people out of their wilderness and into the light.

Out of the Wilderness serves those struggling with mental health and substance abuse by developing confidence in their recovery toolset whether it be emotional regulation, relational skills, coping mechanisms, skills for managing depression and anxiety, as well as developing daily living skills.

Our providers partner with clients to help them on their path to recovery by working side-by-side with them in their homes and community settings working on anything from social anxieties, work skills, job placement, nutrition, exercise, art therapy, assistance with getting drivers license, you name it someone on the team has the skillset to help.

Our team of providers is second to none. They come from an incredibly wide array of backgrounds; Army and Air Force veterans, former occupational therapist, former coaches and adaptive physical education teachers, construction workers, retired business leaders, children and youth pastors, business owners and entrepreneurs.

Regardless of their backgrounds there are a few things that they all have in common, they believe that each person has value and they are loved by their creator.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7
